PFAS Removal From Your Family’s Water With One Efficient System

Water all over the country has frequently been positive for lead, cysts, and PFOA/PFOS, and our area is not exempt. These chemicals have been found to exceed the levels set forth by health advisory organizations and may cause health problems.

Eighteen million Americans live in communities where the water systems are in violation of the law. As a mater of fact, the federal agency in charge of making sure those systems are safe not only know these issues exist, they’ve done little to stop them, according to information provided by CNN, which cites multiple sources and water experts.

Our goal is not to scare anyone into getting water treatment, however, educating our local community about water quality is a top priority. We’ve worked with many local families to improve their water and to provide peace-of-mind, knowing the water they drink and bathe in is free of harmful contaminants.

Contact us today to learn more about our professionally installed and serviced drinking water system that reduces PFOS contamination. Fill out the contact form or call (316) 799-0689!

What are PFAS, PFOA, PFOS and What’s The Difference Between Them?

In a nutshell, PFAS stands for per- and polyflouralkyl substances, which are synthetic chemicals used to make everyday products we all use (your cell phone, your non-stick pans, some food packaging, most things that used to be made at 3M are made of PFAS). PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid, also referred to as C8) and PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonate) are simply two types of PFAS, and the difference between the two is the amount of carbon atoms in the chain of polyflouralkyl. GenX is also considered a PFAS contaminant.

These chemicals have been around for almost 80 years, when they started being manufactured in the 1940’s. Unfortunately, a lot of chemical waste ends up being dumped in the water supply we drink from. Imagine 80 years of chemical waste contaminating the water we use every day.

The Water Quality Association (WQA.org) tells us exposure to PFAS can happen when we eat food grown in soil contaminated by PFAS or drink water that has been contaminated and not properly filtered out. It can also be released through the household products we use to clean our homes.

Some potential health risks of PFAS exposure are cancer, a weakened immune system, fertility issues, low birth weight for infants, abnormal levels for cholesterol and thyroid hormones, and inflammation of the liver. Other health related issues are still under research.

Moore Water & Air of Kansas also offers free water tests to homeowners in the Wichita area. Call (316) 799-0689 to schedule your free water test now!

PFOA and PFOS chemicals are bio-permanent, resistant to direct oxidation, and do not break down naturally in the environment or the human body. Moore Water & Air of Kansas provides a unique system, to successfully remove these chemicals and is installed where the water line enters your home or business.

Our systems have been tested and certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 58 by NSF International, and not only removes sediments and PFAS contaminants, but also eliminates odors and and improves taste – giving you bottled quality (or better) water right at your tap.

Andrew was my technician today and he was originally scheduled just to replace my filters and bring me some salt, when I expressed that my refiner was in recharge mode almost every night he checked the system and found that my turbine was faulty and corroded he tried to clean it up to save me some money and we found that a replacement was the better option after doing that the system returned to its full capacity and is working correctly now. He was very very friendly very knowledgeable, answered every question that I threw at him. I recommend more water service and I have always received great service from every technician that has ever come out

System was running a little harder than it needed to. When I called the receptionist was very professional and kind, offering a pretty quick service considering it wasn't an emergency. Andrew and Cam came today to double check a service install we had in March. They called when they were about 30 minutes out so we didn't have to wait around all day for them. They did a quick but thorough assessment, and resolved the matter in about half an hour. They were quick to offer any extra assistance and looked through every part of the system to ensure we wouldn't have any avoidable concerns. They cleaned up any water that was left, and overall were just really pleasant and professional.

I've seen and read through a lot of the reviews. I've read a lot of the 1 star reviews as well. Fortunately, I can give this company 5 stars. Their techs are incredible and respectful. Andrew and Cam were just here for a quick service issue and handled it without any problems. These guys are super knowledgeable and friendly. I hope they are the techs I always get. Travis sold us our system and was also a great guy to work with and still answers any question I have even after the Sale. No complaints. The system itself is incredible!!! The reverse osmosis system gave us hands down the best water I've ever had. I'll never buy bottled water again. The main system leaves skin feeling good after showers. No more dryness. 5 star is definitely what this company deserves.

Actually, this is 4 Reviews for this Fantastic CompanyFirst, our salesman, Travis and our introduction to the Ecowater System. Travis was professional, cordial and VERY knowledgeable about the system and how it works. As a former Secondary Chemist on a Nuclear Submarine, and Operator of a Nuclear Power plant, I KNOW about chemical exchange equipment (Ion Exchangers, Demineralizers, etc), and I had several deep questions about the system and its components. Travis answered them all. Following that, our discussions about installation and paperwork were thorough and detailed. No BS coming from these people. AFTER the sale, there were some incorrect things on our purchase paperwork - one call to Travis and he handled it all for us. When we noticed a cost listed on our final pricing that we had not talked about - another Travis call confirmed that it should not have been there because HE was taking care of that cost to make sure our new drinking faucet matched our current sink faucet in style.BOTTOM LINE: Travis knew his stuff, there was Z-E-R-O pressure during the sale presentation, and we actually enjoyed his visit. We came into this fully expecting to say, "No Thanks" - and ended up getting a great deal and a new whole home water system.Second: Our install. We were given a free install on this system, and what a deal that was. Our installer was Bryan (thank you soooo much my friend) and his work is first rate. We have a uniquely designed home from 1993, and Bryan had to overcome several interesting issues - from a small crawlspace between the basement ceiling and our floor (where the main water line had to be tapped into), to creating an opening in our garage wall to reach the under-home crawl space (20 feet to the location) for the installation of our sink/refrigerator line for the osmosis system. His challenges included access points, 20" crawl spaces to work in and double floor penetrations among others. An install that typically takes 4-5 hours to complete took him almost 8 1/2 hours. NO COMPLAINTS, always pleasant, and his planning and execution were perfect. Finally, after a LONG day - he still took the time to go through the operation of the system; show me the work he did and where the system was breached; and then went over tips on where to look for any troubles. Fantastic work, fantastic job, fantastic installer.Third: Following install and a couple of days of operation, our main sink faucet flow significantly dropped. After a call to Moore's office, Jacob (another BIG thank you is owed here to Jacob) came out and took over 6 hours investigating our system, through line inspections to leak inspections to even taking our sink faucet COMPLETELY apart and trying to blow out any contaminants that could have broken loose and clogged our line. It was eventually determined that the original installation had probably broken loose some mineral buildups in the lines that clogged the internals of the faucet valve. Moore agreed to replace the faucet. Following his identification of our problem with the faucet, Jacob completely repaired the garage drywall that was removed for the original install. Again, professional, not one complaint from him about his time and effort there, and always willing to engage any of my questions with complete answers. He cleaned up his mess (they all did) and we could not have been happier. Finally, Andrew came after a few weeks to install our new faucet. BETTER than our original faucet. AGAIN, some unique problems that he identified and addressed. He also fixed a small leak under the sink and better situated our leak detector. I'd say MORE about Andrew - but Google has a word limit. Professionalism runs rampant in this company. Don't hesitate - these people are the real deal and you WON'T be disappointed in any facet of their work.
